Liz Fortener Pilates Instructor/PRI Practitioner
Health and Wellness Provider
Liz has been a Physical Therapist for 14 years. In that time, she has worked primarily in outpatient orthopedic settings with an active population, from the ages of 10 through retirement. She has travelled all over the country working in different clinics, which allowed her to combine her love of traveling with her work. In 2018, she pursued a Pilates certification through Balanced Body and has been working as a Pilates instructor for a year and a half.
Pilates is a great addition to her background as a Physical Therapist and the continuing education in functional movement that she has done (including Postural Restoration). She has a strong foundation of anatomy, posture, alignment, and functional movement that allows her to personalize Pilates sessions to the individual, based on the specific needs of the body in front of her. Her favorite part of her work is educating the client.
In her free time, Liz enjoys hiking, backpacking, camping, hanging out with friends, traveling, trying new restaurants (and breweries, wineries, coffee shops, etc), listening to podcasts, and binge watching Netflix shows!
