Katie Meekins PT, DPT
Katie joins the EPIC Physical Therapy team having received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from East Carolina University. She recently moved from Asheville, NC where she worked for a large therapist-owned practice heavily focused on manual therapies including: spinal and peripheral mobilizations/manipulations, soft tissue mobilizations, and muscle energy techniques. She loves working with all orthopedic populations but particularly enjoys treating lower extremity injuries such as the foot and ankle. Katie is a familiar face to the EPIC PT family having completed a 10 week clinical rotation in January 2016.
In addition to her love of physical therapy, Katie enjoys running, hiking, spinning, and helping her patients return to an active, heathy lifestyle. She has previously traveled to the Dominican Republic providing free physical therapy to the city of La Romana where she truly discovered her passion for serving others.
Katie is certified in dry needling and has high aspirations to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Board Certified Sports or Orthopedic Rehab Specialist.
