IAN HOWES, PT, DPT
PHYSICAL THERAPIST
Originally from Iowa, I earned a double major in Biology and Exercise Physiology from Luther College before moving to Austin, Texas to attend University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where I graduated in 2022.
Growing up, I was heavily involved in football, soccer, track, and swimming—eventually competing in swimming at the collegiate level. After undergoing shoulder surgery on both arms, my athletic career shifted, but the experience gave me a deep, personal understanding of injury, recovery, and resilience. Because of my history, I have a special place for treating shoulders—though I genuinely enjoy working with all areas of the body.
I’ve been competing in powerlifting for over three years, which continues to shape my approach to strength, rehabilitation, and performance. I’ve been dry needling certified since 2022 and have pursued continuing education focused on overhead athletes and rotator cuff pathologies. My background as both an athlete and clinician allows me to bridge the gap between rehab and performance, helping patients return stronger and more confident than before.
