Yes!! Direct Access gives you the right to choose any physical therapy clinic, regardless of where your physician has referred you.
We get you up and moving at each appointment, so be sure to wear athletic shoes and loose fitting workout clothing that exposes the area that we will be evaluating and treating. For example, if you are being seen for a lower body issue, it is best to wear shorts.
Absolutely not. While we are known in the community as the place to go to “get you back in the game”, our therapists are trained to treat a wide range of problems and are experienced in treating patients of all ages and activity levels.
No. North Carolina is a Direct Access state which means you are allowed to receive physical therapy services without a referral from a physician. Seeing a physical therapist first, is not only safe, but can also save you time and money. After we have assessed your problem, we may refer you to a physician and can quickly get you an appointment with one of the area’s leading doctors.
Please arrive at your appointment with your paperwork completed, and with your insurance card and photo ID. During your initial visit, your therapist will review your medical history and will perform a complete evaluation/assessment of your current problems/complaints. Once your therapist has completed the assessment, you will be provided with an individualized treatment plan and your treatment will begin the same day as your initial evaluation.
Your appointments will each last 60 minutes.
